Kevin Post

Kevin Post's new album, "Intoxicated and Broken Hearted," is now available.

"I wrote every song but one, and I played all the guitars and steel guitars, and produced it as well, with a lot of help from the guys in the Blake Shelton band. I wrote four of the songs myself, including 'It's Still Awkward' and 'A Reason To Stay'."

Texas native Kevin Post has always been a reluctant singer, preferring the supporting role of sideman musician and background singer. But that does not mean he can't sing...and that don't mean that he can't write no country song, neither.

Post, who is not new to the music industry, has been up and down the road, played on country music's grandest stages (and others), as his career has blown invariably hot and cold. He continues this musical jaunt, which lately has carried him back to the bright lights of the headlining big-time, under the helm of two-time CMA Male Vocalist Blake Shelton.

On his self-produced debut country album, Post delves into his country and blues roots. On his single "It's Still Awkward", Post mellifluously describes what we have all felt after running into an 'Ex.' All but one of the songs on the album were written or co-written by Post. While he has no plans to exit Shelton's band for a solo career, he has found his artistic release for the meantime.

Post has shared the stage with a wide assortment of country celebrities including Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, The Jane Deere Girls, Wynona, Kid Rock, Tanya Tucker, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins and Laura Bell Bundy, among many others. Post also served as Terri Clark's music director for 7 years before joining Shelton's band.

His Telecaster has a 21 fret Warmoth Pro Neck with nitrocellulose finish and jumbo 6100 frets.
