Here's a project bass we recently took on. It combines a Modulus lined fretless J bass® neck, lined fretless with a satin finish. The body is from the Warmoth showcase. It is ash with a beautiful flamed maple top finish and Warmoth did the finish cherry burst. The pickups are Lakland single coil J pickups, and the preamp is an Aguilar 3-band. The bass plays and sounds great. The quality of the Warmoth body is truly amazing. The tortoise pickguard is also from Warmoth, and has the most authentic vintage appearance.
