Tone: Big and warm, with a smooth high end roll off.
Weight: Heavy
Finish: Not required.
Feel: Smooth and lightly waxy. Not as smooth or hard as Ebony.
The most popular fingerboard wood, favored for its warm tone, beautiful look, and buttery feel. Rosewood can also sometimes contain hues of purple, yellow, orange, or green.
